General Fertigation Principles
- Split doses across the crop cycle rather than applying large single doses — this reduces nutrient leaching and salt stress.
- Keep fertigation solution EC and pH within the range your crop tolerates; get your water tested if you haven't already.
- Don't mix calcium- and sulphate/phosphate-based fertilizers directly in the same tank — they can precipitate and clog drip emitters.
- Flush drip lines periodically to prevent emitter blockage from precipitated salts.
